	RELATING TO ANIMALS AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY - HANDLING OF LIVE
	POULTRY

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 4-10-9 of the General Laws in Chapter 4-10 entitled "Handling of
2	Live Poultry" is hereby repealed.
3	4-10-9. Vehicle number plates. -- The director shall furnish for each vehicle to be used
4	by a licensee in the business of buying, selling, and/or transporting live poultry, two (2) number
5	plates. These plates shall be displayed prominently on the vehicle used in the buying, selling,
6	and/or transporting of live poultry under this chapter.
7	SECTION 2. Section 4-10-11 of the General Laws in Chapter 4-10 entitled "Handling of
8	Live Poultry" is hereby amended to read as follows:
9	4-10-11. License fees. -- The fee for the first license issued to any one individual or
10	corporation in accordance with this chapter shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00), which entitles
11	the licensee to one set of number plates. The fee for each additional license and set of number
12	plates is two dollars ($2.00).
13	SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.

1	This act would repeal the provisions which provided that the director of environmental
2	management would issue vehicle license registration plates to those individuals or companies in
3	the business of buying, selling and/or transporting live poultry.
4	This act would take effect upon passage.
