It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 37-2 of the General Laws entitled "State Purchases" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 37-2-81. State purchasing contract preference application. – With the exception of the |
4 | preferences set forth in §§ 37-2-80 and 37-14.1-6, all preferences in state purchasing contracts |
5 | and state procurement shall be given equal weight. To the extent that the provisions contained in |
6 | this section conflict with the requirements for federal contracts, federal law and/or federal |
7 | regulations shall control. |
8 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
