IN AMENDMENT OF AN ACT ENTITLED "AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE RHODE | |
ISLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY," PASSED AT THE JUNE, 1822 SESSION OF THE | |
GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND OF THE SEVERAL ACTS IN AMENDMENT THEREOF | |
AND IN ADDITION THERETO | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. The Rhode Island Historical Society is hereby authorized to take, hold, |
2 | transmit, and convey real, mixed, and personal estate without limit as to amount, and said estate |
3 | shall be exempt from taxation so long as said estate shall be used for the purposes for which said |
4 | corporation was incorporated. |
5 | SECTION 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed, and this |
6 | act shall take effect from and after its passage. |
