S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES TO THE MARCOTTE FAMILY ON THE PASSING OF

ROBERT J. MARCOTTE

     WHEREAS, Robert J. Marcotte, a resident of the Town of Coventry, passed away on

June 6, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was the husband for 54 years of Meredith Marcotte;

and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Marcotte was the son of the late Leslie and Dorothy E. Marcotte. He

was a direct descendent of Roger Williams and lived his entire life in Coventry; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Marcotte served our nation with honor and integrity in both the United

States Army and the United States Navy. He was self-employed and owned M&M Feed &

Supply in Coventry, and was also involved in the trucking business in later years. In his spare

time, he enjoyed tending his garden, and watching NASCAR; and

     WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, Mr. Marcotte, is survived by his sons, Glenn R.

Marcotte and his wife, Amy, and Jeffrey M. Marcotte and his wife, Julie. He also leaves behind

his sister, Gail Breene Delmonico, and his brothers, Thomas L. Marcotte and William F.

Marcotte. He was also the proud grandfather of Pamela, Megan, Jaden, Justin and Jillian; now,

therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its condolences to the Marcotte Family on the passing of Robert J. Marcotte;

and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Meredith Marcotte.
