S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MARK D. LEMIEUX

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the untimely passing

of Mark D. Lemieux, who died tragically in a motorcycle accident. He was the devoted husband

of Carrie Lemieux; and

     WHEREAS, Mark Lemieux was the beloved son of Richard Lemieux and Jamie Diggle,

and the grandson of Russell and Margaret Lemieux, and Norma Cline. He is also survived by his

step-father Gary Diggle; and

     WHEREAS, Our thoughts and hearts hold great empathy and sorrow for Mark Lemieux's

daughter, Keira, on the passing of her beloved dad; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lemieux enjoyed spending time on his uncle's island with his family.

He also loved spending time on the lake near his home; and

     WHEREAS, We also extend our deepest sympathy to his siblings, Geoff Lemieux, Tim

Diggle, Kelli Diggle, Bryan Diggle, and Ashley Gonyea; and

     WHEREAS, Mark Lemieux was a wonderful son, a devoted father, a loving brother and

a great friend. He enriched the lives of all who knew him and will be dearly missed; now,

therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the entire Lemieux Family on the passing of Mark D.

Lemieux; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Carrie A. Lemieux and Family.
