H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING ROBERT G. CARLOW, JR., UPON ACHIEVING

SCOUTING'S MOST DISTINGUISHED HONOR, THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT

     WHEREAS, Earning an Eagle Scout Badge, the pinnacle of achievement with the Boy

Scouts of America, is an exceptional distinction achieved by very few of all the young men who

enter scouting; and

     WHEREAS, Robert G. Carlow, Jr., is a remarkable young man worthy of this prestigious

achievement and his accomplishments are truly deserving of our recognition; and

     WHEREAS, Learning important lifelong skills and values, Robert, under the leadership

of Troopmaster John Potvin, has earned numerous merit badges and as the highlight of his

scouting years, he completed the final step toward obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout by planning

and carrying out an extensive Eagle service project; and

     WHEREAS, It is essential and fitting to recognize the triumphs of our youth, and to

celebrate the accomplishments of our future leaders. Robert exemplifies everything an Eagle

Scout should be, and all that we hope our children will grow to be; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby honors Robert Carlow, Jr., for all he has done to attain the rank of

Eagle Scout. We offer our deepest appreciation to Robert for his untiring service to the

community and for setting a high standard of commitment and dedication by which youth of this

great state may follow. We furthermore extend our deepest admiration and gratitude for his

impending service defending our country as one of the Few, the Proud in the United States

Marine Corps; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Robert G. Carlow, Jr.
