It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 21-27-11.2 of the General Laws in Chapter 21-27 entitled |
2 | "Sanitation in Food Establishments" is hereby amended to read as follows: |
3 | 21-27-11.2. Application for certification. -- Any person who shall desire to be certified |
4 | in food safety shall submit in writing, on any forms as provided by the division, an application for |
5 | certification which shall be accompanied by an application fee as set forth in ยง 23-1-54 together |
6 | with any other credentials that the rules and regulations and the division may require. There shall |
7 | be no requirement for an instructor to hold a bachelor's degree, provided that the instructor is |
8 | certified by a nationally accredited food safety certification program recognized by the state, |
9 | including, but not limited to, the ServSafe program of the National Restaurant Association. |
10 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
