HONORING GIEMMA M. BAUERLE ON THE MOMENTOUS OCCASION OF HER 100TH | |

1 | WHEREAS, Giemma M. Bauerle was born on June 19, 1916, to Francis and Philomena |
2 | Felicetti. The year she was born was a time of dramatic change for our country, WWI was |
3 | sweeping through Europe, inflation raised the average price of bread from 5 cents per loaf to an |
4 | outrageous 7 cents per loaf, and President Woodrow Wilson was narrowly re-elected President of |
5 | the United States; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Bauerle is a lifelong resident of the Town of Westerly. She was the |
7 | loving wife of the late George J. Bauerle, Jr., for fifty-seven years, and is the cherished mother of |
8 | Anne Marie (Bauerle) Hamelin, George J. Bauerle, III, and David F. Bauerle. She is also the |
9 | loving grandmother of Laurie, Karen, Chad, Sarah, Caitlyn and Brent, and the proud great- |
10 | grandmother of Adam; and |
11 | WHEREAS, Giemma Bauerle's warm and caring personality created and nurtured a |
12 | marriage that flourished, and a home that was warm and welcoming. Her even-tempered |
13 | disposition and straight-forward nature made her the kind of mother that every child needs and |
14 | deserves, and her marvelous culinary skills satiated all who sat at her table; and |
15 | WHEREAS, Over the years the Bauerle's home was often a gathering place for family |
16 | and friends and was shared for a number of years by Buzzy, the family's pet dog; and |
17 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Bauerle was a member of the Calebrese Women's Auxiliary Society |
18 | and is a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Westerly; and |
19 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Bauerle is the heart and soul of her family. Over the course of her |

1 | lifetime, she has enriched the lives of so many people with her spirit and love, and we are |
2 | honored to join in the joyous celebration of her 100th birthday; now, therefore be it |
3 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
4 | Providence Plantations hereby joins the family and many friends of Giemma Bauerle in honoring |
5 | her on the very special occasion of her 100th Birthday. We moreover wish her and all the |
6 | members of her family good health and much happiness for many years to come; and be it further |
7 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
8 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Giemma M. Bauerle. |
