It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 42-64.13 of the General Laws entitled "Rhode Island Regulatory |
2 | Reform Act" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 42-64.13-11. Duty to streamline and coordinate interagency regulation for green |
4 | industries. – The office of regulatory reform shall, in consultation with the departments of |
5 | environmental management, labor and training, revenue, and the coastal resources management |
6 | council, and plant-based and agriculture industry representatives, to reduce burdensome |
7 | regulations, improve interagency efficiency, and coordinate the regulatory process to facilitate |
8 | further economic growth within plant-based industries and agriculture. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
