	RELATING TO TOWNS AND CITIES -- BUDGET COMMISSIONS -- CENTRAL
	COVENTRY FIRE DISTRICT

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 45-9-14 of the General Laws in Chapter 45-9 entitled "Budget
2	Commissions" is hereby amended to read as follows:
3	45-9-14. No state guarantee. – (a) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to pledge
4	the credit and assets of the state to pay the obligations or indebtedness, including bonded
5	indebtedness, of any municipality or fire district.
6	(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section or any other
7	provisions of this chapter, the state shall reimburse Central Coventry Fire District for all costs
8	associated with compliance with the provisions of Pub L. 2014, ch. 31.
9	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
