	RELATING TO PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES - FEDERAL OLD-AGE AND
	SURVIVORS' INSURANCE

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 36-7-29 of the General Laws in Chapter 36-7 entitled "Federal Old-
2	Age and Survivors' Insurance" is hereby repealed.
3	36-7-29. Rules and regulations -- Studies -- Report to general assembly. -- The
4	general treasurer shall prescribe such rules and regulations not inconsistent with the provisions of
5	§§ 36-7-1 -- 36-7-31 as may be necessary or appropriate for the efficient administration of its
6	provisions. He or she shall make such analyses and studies of the operation §§ 36-7-1 -- 36-7-31
7	as may be deemed necessary and shall submit a report to the general assembly at the beginning of
8	each regular session covering the administration and operation of §§ 36-7-1 -- 36-7-31 during the
9	preceding fiscal year including appropriate recommendations for amendment of its provisions.
10	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

1	This act would repeal the provision of the general laws that requires the general treasurer
2	to make studies and submit annual reports to the general assembly regarding federal old-age and
3	survivors' insurance.
4	This act would take effect upon passage.
