EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES TO THE CONWAY FAMILY ON THE PASSING OF JOHN

J. CONWAY, JR.

     WHEREAS, John J. "Jack" Conway, Jr., of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away on

Sunday, April 24th, surrounded by his family; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Conway was the son of the late John J. Conway and Katherine Conway.

He was a graduate of Johnston High School, and Roger Williams University, where he attained a

degree in mechanical engineering. He also earned an honorary degree in Clinical Interviewing

Medicine from Brown University; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Conway was a well-regarded professional who held positions of

importance with a number of companies. He loved traveling with his wife, playing golf, and

spending time with his German Shepherds, Jaeger and Bear, but mostly, he enjoyed spending

time with his children and family; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Conway leaves behind his wife, Jane Conway, and his children,

Kimberly Mairs, Allison Mairs, Stephanie Chmura and her husband, Paul, Robert Mairs and his

wife, Katherine, John J. Conway III, and Jamie Twesten and her husband, Nick. He also leaves

behind fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his sister, Kathy Conway, along with

three nephews and an extended family that he loved; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses our condolences to the Conway Family on the passing of John J. Conway, Jr.;

and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Jane Conway.
