EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES TO THE ARCHETTO FAMILY ON THE PASSING OF

MARIA ANTONIA ARCHETTO

     WHEREAS, Maria Antonia "Etta" Archetto, the devoted wife of Henry W. Archetto,

2

passed away on April, 10 2016. She was born in Cranston, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late

3

Domenico Antonio Archetto and Carolina Lanni Archetto; and

4

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Archetto was employed for many years by the Trifari Jewelry

5

Company in Providence. She was a deeply spiritual person who was devoted to her family and to

6

her community. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Cranston, where she was a

7

member of the Regina Coeli Society and taught religious education classes in the 1960s. In her

8

free time, Mrs. Archetto enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, and spending time at her summer

9

cottage in Jamestown; and

10

     WHEREAS, Besides her husband, Henry, she leaves behind her children, Maria Anne

11

Archetto, Ph.D. and her husband Ralph Ellis Hickman, Jr; Linda Carol Archetto, Michael

12

Anthony Archetto and his wife Gail; and the Honorable Paul Henry Archetto, Cranston City

13

Councilman. She also leaves behind grandson Glenn Archetto and his wife Hollie, and great-

14

granddaughter Ava. She is survived by her brother Vincent James Archetto and his wife Marie;

15

and her sister Alice Capuano and her husband Anthony. She was the sister of the late Frank

16

Archetto, Philip Archetto, Michael Archetto, and Alfred Archetto; now, therefore be it

17

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

18

hereby expresses its condolences to the Archetto Family on the passing of Maria Antonia

19

Archetto; and be it further

 

1

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

2

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Henry W. Archetto.
