It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 42-3 of the General Laws entitled "Counties" is hereby amended by |
2 | adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 42-3-7. Blackstone River. – That body of water presently known as the Seekonk River, |
4 | extending from the southerly terminus of the Blackstone River to the northerly terminus of that |
5 | part of Narragansett Bay known as the Providence River, and lying within Providence County, |
6 | shall henceforth be called and form a part of the Blackstone River. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
