It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Title 42 of the General Laws entitled "STATE AFFAIRS AND |
2 | GOVERNMENT" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following chapter: |
3 | CHAPTER 158 |
4 | RHODE ISLAND HERITAGE HALL OF FAME |
5 | 42-158-1. Appropriation. – During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, the state lottery |
6 | division within the department of revenue shall conduct, pursuant to chapter 61 of title 42, an |
7 | instant game to be known as the "Heritage Hall of Fame Baseball Lottery Game." The net |
8 | revenue from the first six (6) months of the running of the Heritage Hall of Fame Baseball |
9 | Lottery Game shall be deposited in a restricted revenue account to be used by the Rhode Island |
10 | Heritage Hall of Fame, a 501(c)3, nonprofit corporation, for the construction of a Hall of Fame |
11 | and Rhode Island History Center building in Bristol. The provisions of this section shall prevail |
12 | over any inconsistent provisions of chapter 61 of title 42. |
13 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |

2 | "Heritage Hall of Fame Baseball Lottery Game" during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017. The |
3 | net revenue from the first six (6) months of the running of said game would be deposited in a |
4 | restricted revenue account to be used by the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame for the |
5 | construction of a Hall of Fame building and Rhode Island History Center. |
6 | This act would take effect upon passage. |
