It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 17-1 of the General Laws entitled "General Provisions" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 17-1-11. Fire committee membership – Public office. – Any person holding a seat on a |
4 | fire committee as a result of a regularly scheduled general election administered by the state |
5 | board of elections shall be considered a holder of a public office. |
6 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
