	RELATING TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES - REGISTRATION PLATES

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Chapter 31-3 of the General Laws entitled "Registration of Vehicles" is
2	hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:
3	31-3-28.1. Auction of registration plate for charity.
4	The administration of the division of motor vehicles is authorized to make, alter, or
5	amend such rules and regulations as are necessary for permitting the auction of registration plates
6	by the current holder for the purpose of donating the proceeds to charity.
7	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
