It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 39-19 of the General Laws entitled "Community Antenna |
2 | Television Systems" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 39-19-15. Option to purchase decoding devices of digital cable signals. |
4 | Any cable television subscriber that rents or leases a device which decodes digital cable |
5 | signals in order to receive service shall be given the option to purchase the necessary decoder |
6 | device from the cable television operator at its fair market value. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
