	RELATING TO STATE AFFAIRS AND GOVERNMENT -- ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
	ASSISTANCE

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Chapter 42-64.1 of the General Laws entitled "Economic Development
2	Assistance" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:
3	42-64.1-6. No economic development assistance to intrastate moves.
4	Notwithstanding any provisions of this chapter or chapter 64 of title 42 to the contrary, no
5	monetary or economic development assistance shall be offered or paid by the Rhode Island
6	commerce corporation to a business entity for the purpose of facilitating or encouraging its
7	removal from one municipality to another within this state.
8	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

2	a business entity for a move to another municipality within the state.
