RELATING TO TAXATION - POWERS AND DUTIES OF FIRE DISTRICTS IN THE TOWN | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 44-5.2-3 of the General Laws in Chapter 44-5.2 entitled "Powers |
2 | and Duties of Fire Districts in the Town of Coventry" is hereby repealed. |
3 | 44-5.2-3. Availability of funds upon failure of fire district to approve annual |
4 | appropriation. |
5 | Unless otherwise provided by charter, if a fire district in the town of Coventry fails to |
6 | approve an annual appropriation measure, the same amounts appropriated in the previous fiscal |
7 | year shall be available. |
8 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
