It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 16-63 of the General Laws entitled "Adult Education [See Title 16 |
2 | Chapter 97 - The Rhode Island Board of Education Act]" is hereby amended by adding thereto |
3 | the following section: |
4 | 16-63-14.1. Workplace education funding. |
5 | Ten percent (10%) of the appropriations by the general assembly of state funds for adult |
6 | education shall be designated and utilized by the department for adult education programs that are |
7 | employer workplace based and with curriculum which is related to development of employment |
8 | skills. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
