S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES TO THE TASSONI FAMILY ON THE PASSING OF

BRUNO TASSONI, JR.

     WHEREAS, Bruno "Buddy" Tassoni, Jr., passed away on January 5, 2017, after fighting

a courageous battle against cancer. Mr. Tassoni was born on July 15, 1936, the son of the late

Bruno and Rose Tassoni; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Tassoni was a hard-working family man who was a loving husband to

his wife and a devoted father to his children. He was employed for forty-three years with the B.A.

Ballou Co. Inc, working as a Tool Room Manager, and as a Factory Supervisor and Product

Development Engineer. He also served as the President of the Jeweler's Silversmith Management

Association; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Tassoni was a veteran who served in the United States Military with

honor, valor and integrity. He served during the Berlin Crisis of 1962, and was the Vice President

of the 102nd ACW Squadron Association. Mr. Tassoni was also a devout Catholic who served as

a Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Holy Cross Church in Providence;

and

     WHEREAS, Bruno Tassoni Jr., is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Elena. He is

also survived by daughters Susan Bucci and her husband, David, Paula Fischer, and Lynn

Grissom and her husband, John. He leaves behind a grandson, Daniel Bucci, and granddaughters,

Elena Donahue and her husband, Brandon, and Jaclyn Rose Grissom. He was the brother of the

late Frank Tassoni, and also leaves behind his beloved cat, Rascal; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its condolences to the Tassoni Family on the passing of Bruno Tassoni, Jr.; and

be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Elena Tassoni and family.
