	RELATING TO TOWNS AND CITIES - BUDGET COMMISSIONS - CENTRAL
	COVENTRY FIRE DISTRICT

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 45-9-14 of the General Laws in Chapter 45-9 entitled "Budget
2	Commissions" is hereby amended to read as follows:
3	45-9-14. No state guarantee.
4	(a) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to pledge the credit and assets of the state to
5	pay the obligations or indebtedness, including bonded indebtedness, of any municipality or fire
6	district.
7	(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section or any other
8	provisions of this chapter, the state shall reimburse Central Coventry Fire District for all costs
9	associated with compliance with the provisions of Pub L. 2014, ch. 31, which brought all fire
10	districts in the state within the purview of the state laws on budget commissions.
11	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
