RELATING TO THE WESTERLY HIGHER EDUCATION AND JOB SKILLS CENTER | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Appropriation to the Westerly Higher Education and Job Skills Center. -- |
2 | For the fiscal year commencing on or about July 1, 2017, the general assembly shall appropriate |
3 | out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated the sum of one million two hundred |
4 | fifty thousand dollars ($1,250,000) to the Westerly Higher Education and Job Skills Center, a |
5 | domestic nonprofit organization, located in the town of Westerly. Such funds shall be used to |
6 | expand redevelopment efforts in order to invest in underutilized sites across the state. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
