S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MICHAEL LEPIZZERA

     Introduced By: Senators Lombardi, Miller, Gallo, Satchell, and Metts

     WHEREAS, Michael Lepizzera of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away on February 7,

2017, in the company of his loving family. He was the devoted companion of the late Vivian

Marino; and

      WHEREAS, Michael Lepizzera was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of the

late Isidore and Filomena Lepizzera. He served our nation with honor and distinction during

World War II as a member of the United States Army; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lepizzera worked professionally as a chef for many years. He was well-

known for his culinary talents and took great pride in providing his customers with delicious food

to start or end their workdays. He also enjoyed cooking up tasty delights for his good friends and

family members; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lepizzera is survived by Paul and Anthony Conti, and Malorie Conti

and Joseph Canavan. He also leaves behind his aunt, Sister Mary DelBonis, his niece, Rebecca

Tyler, his nephew, Jerome Santamaria, and numerous other relatives and close friends. He was

the brother of the late Marie Santamaria, and Raymond and Anthony Lepizzera; now, therefore be

it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby extends its condolences on the passing of Michael Lepizzera; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Paula and Anthony Conti, Malorie and Joseph

     Canavan, Sister Mary DelBonis, Rebecca Tyler and Jerome Santamaria.
