S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF NELSON W. BOUCHER, JR.

     WHEREAS, Nelson W. Boucher, Jr., passed away at home on March 12, 2017, after a

long and courageous fight with cancer. He was the loving husband of Carol Boucher for forty-

seven years; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Boucher was a hard-working family man, who had worked for many

years in the insurance and automotive collision industries, and had been employed by Notre

Dame Cemetery at the time of his passing; and

     WHEREAS, In his free time, Mr. Boucher loved playing golf and spending time with his

golfing friends. He was a popular figure who made people laugh with his jokes, and garnered

much respect for his kindness and gentle demeanor both on and off the golf course; and

     WHEREAS, Memories of Nelson Boucher and the life he lived will remain forever in the

hearts of his family and many friends; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses it condolences on the passing of Mr. Nelson W. Boucher; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Carol Boucher and Family.
