	EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MARGARET M. SILVA

1	WHEREAS, Margaret M. Silva of Pawtucket and Warwick, passed away on April 6,
2	2017. She was the beloved wife of Stephen Silva for forty-eight years; and
3	WHEREAS, Mrs. Silva was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Frederick J. and
4	Mary A. Casey. She was a dedicated professional who worked for many years for Apex Inc. and
5	Troy & Pires. Subsequently, she worked for seventeen years at the Pawtucket School Department,
6	retiring as a teachers' payroll clerk; and
7	WHEREAS, Mrs. Silva was a member of the Board of Directors of the Cole Farm
8	Association for twenty-seven years. She served the Association in a variety of capacities
9	including Assistant Treasurer, Director, Vice-President, President and Past President; and
10	WHEREAS, Besides her husband, Stephen, Mrs. Silva leaves behind her children, Toni
11	Weston and her husband, Geoffrey, Stephen D. Silva and his wife, Tracy L. Dwyer, and Kris
12	Silva and his wife, Tracey J. North. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Casey and Quinn
13	Silva, and Braeden and Elizabeth Weston. She is survived by her cousins, Joan Daley and Dennis
14	Riley, four nieces, five nephews, one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, numerous cousins, great
15	nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her cousins, Barbara Fleury, Patricia Camille,
16	William and James Riley; now, therefore be it
17	RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations
18	hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Margaret M. Silva; and be it further

1	RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to
2	transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Stephen Silva and Family.
