EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF PAUL N. LAROCHELLE

     WHEREAS, Paul N. Larochelle of Harrisville, Rhode Island, passed away on April 22,

2017. He was the loving husband of Carolyn Larochelle; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Larochelle was born in Woonsocket, son of the late Normand and

Marie-Rose Larochelle. He lived most of his life at Spring Lake in Burrillville. Paul had a tireless

work ethic and served our state with integrity and devotion as an employee with the Rhode Island

Department of Corrections, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Larochelle also served our nation with honor and distinction in the U. S.

Army during the Vietnam War. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and spending time at his

camp in Maine; and

     WHEREAS, Besides his wife, Mr. Larochelle leaves behind his sons, David Larochelle,

Brian Larochelle and his wife, Elizabeth, and Scott Larochelle and his wife, Amy. He is also

survived by his grandchildren, Victoria, Virginia, Brian Jr., Brooke, Kayla, and Taylor

Larochelle, a great-granddaughter, Madeline Rose Goodwin, and his sister, Diane Larochelle. He

was preceded in passing by his brother, Maurice Larochelle; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Paul N. Larochelle; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Carolyn Larochelle and Family.
