S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF TERESA NAPOLITANO

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Teresa

Napolitano, beloved wife of the late Michael Napolitano for fifty-five years, and the devoted

mother of Michael T. Napolitano, former Mayor and municipal court judge of Cranston and his

wife, Anne, and Paul S. Napolitano and his wife, Elizabeth; and

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Napolitano was a cherished daughter of the late Tomasso and

Mariatonia Ricci, and the loving sister of Rose Bonaminio, Elsie Fascia, the late Sr. Anna Ricci,

Adeline Bernardino, Mary Cartone, Edith Palmisciano and Alfred, Carl, Joseph and Vincent

Ricci; and

     WHEREAS, Teresa Napolitano's loving personality created and nurtured a marriage that

flourished and a home that was warm and welcoming. She doted on her family, particularly her

grandchildren, Katherine, Michael, Joseph and Logan Napolitano; and

     WHEREAS, In addition to her family life, Mrs. Napolitano had been employed at various

jewelry firms as a foot press operator and at Romano's jewelry for many years. She was also a

devoted communicant of St. Ann's Church and the DaVinci Center in Providence; and

     WHEREAS, Teresa Napolitano was the heart and soul of her family. Her

kindheartedness, generosity, and scrumptious culinary skills will forever be indelibly imprinted

on the lives and in the cherished memories of her entire family. She enriched the lives of all who

had the good fortune to have known her and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the Napolitano and Ricci families on the passing of

Teresa Napolitano. She will be forever remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and

grandmother; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable Michael and Anne Napolitano,

and Paul and Elizabeth Napolitano.
