S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF REINALDO PEREZ

      WHEREAS, Reinaldo Perez was born in Bello, Colombia, a son of the late Luis

Enrique Perez and Maria Cristina Munoz. He was the husband of Luz N. Perez; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Perez lived in Central Falls and Pawtucket since 1971. He was a hard-

working family man who was employed for many years as a weaver in area textile mills; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Perez was an active member of the Colombian American Association.

He managed and coached Sporting Colombia, a local soccer team, and was a passionate life-long

fan of the sport. He was also a communicant of the Holy Spirit Parish for many years; and

     WHEREAS, Besides his wife, he leaves behind his children, Adriana Perez, Angela

Perez, and Michael Perez. He also leaves behind his siblings, Luis Alfredo Perez, Nellie Perez,

Judit Perez and Rosalba Perez, and nine grandchildren. He was the father of the late Ivan Perez;

now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Reinaldo Perez; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Luz N. Perez and Family.
