OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP OF THE BEACON MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY | |

1 | WHEREAS, James V. Rosati began his career as President and Chief Executive Officer |
2 | of the Beacon Mutual Insurance Company in Warwick, Rhode Island on January 1, 2007; and |
3 | WHEREAS, By providing the most innovative programs, competitive products and |
4 | outstanding service to businesses and their employees, James has fostered Beacon's mission of |
5 | being a substantial instrument in the stabilization, fiscal health and proper positioning of the |
6 | Rhode Island workers' compensation system; and |
7 | WHEREAS, James has guided the continued financial strength of Beacon and has led |
8 | Beacon to return dividends to its policyholders for seven years in a row; and |
9 | WHEREAS, Regardless of their risk or performance, James has managed Beacon in |
10 | providing workers' compensation insurance to over 12,000 Rhode Island businesses; and |
11 | WHEREAS, In conjunction with his team, James has successfully brought regulatory |
12 | compliance to the operations of Beacon during his tenure; and |
13 | WHEREAS, James has directed Beacon's operations to the highest degree of |
14 | transparency and ethics; and |
15 | WHEREAS, James has led Beacon to deliver exceptional comprehensive loss prevention |
16 | services to policyholders in order to create a culture of safe workplaces in Rhode Island; and |
17 | WHEREAS, Through his leadership at Beacon, James has ensured that injured workers in |
18 | Rhode Island are treated with respect and dignity as they recover from work related incidents; and |
19 | WHEREAS, James is retiring as President and CEO of the Beacon Mutual Insurance |

1 | Company on June 30, 2017. He has served the Rhode Island community with philanthropic |
2 | generosity over the years and he is eminently deserving of our appreciation and gratitude; now, |
3 | therefore be it |
4 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
5 | hereby recognizes and honors James V. Rosati for eleven years of dedicated service to the state. |
6 | We moreover wish James and his family the very best in retirement; and be it further |
7 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
8 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. James V. Rosati. |
