	RELATING TO HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE - DAYS OF
	SPECIAL OBSERVANCE

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 25-2-20 of the General Laws in Chapter 25-2 entitled "Days of
2	Special Observance" is hereby amended to read as follows:
3	25-2-20. Viet Nam Veterans' Day.
4	The fifteenth twenty-ninth day of May March shall annually be set aside as a day to be
5	known as "Viet Nam Veterans' Day." The day is to be observed by the people of this state with
6	appropriate exercises in public places.
7	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

1	This act would change the recognition of Viet Nam Veterans' Day from May 15 to March
2	29 in order to correspond to the federal observance of this day.
