EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF EVELYN DELFINO | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Evelyn |
2 | DelFino, beloved wife for sixty-four years to Richard DelFino, Sr., and the cherished mother of |
3 | Richard DelFino, Jr., and his wife, Debra, and Peter DelFino and his wife, Maggie; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Mrs. DelFino, affectionately known as "Marie" by her family and many |
5 | friends, was born in Providence and grew up in the Federal Hill section of the City of Providence. |
6 | She was a daughter of the late Francesco and Mary DeLisi, and the sister of Vincent DeLisi, |
7 | Theresa Gomes, and the late Peter DeLisi. She was a graduate and proud alumni of Classical |
8 | High School and had attended Pembroke College; and |
9 | WHEREAS, Mrs. DelFino's loving personality created and nurtured a marriage that |
10 | flourished, and a home that was warm and welcoming. She doted on her family, particularly her |
11 | cherished grandchildren, Richard DelFino, III, and his wife Ariana, David DelFino and his |
12 | girlfriend, Arielle Morton, and Vincent DelFino, She was also the very proud great-grandmother |
13 | of Richard DelFino, IV; and |
14 | WHEREAS, Marie DelFino was the heart and soul of her family. Her kindheartedness, |
15 | gentleness and generosity will forever be indelibly imprinted on the lives and in the cherished |
16 | memories of her entire family and many, many friends. She enriched the lives of all who had the |
17 | good fortune to have known her and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
18 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
19 | hereby extends sincere condolences on the passing of Evelyn DelFino; and be it further |
20 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
