EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF LORRAINE D. LEBRUN | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with great sadness this Senate has learned of the passing of Lorraine D. |
2 | LeBrun, the beloved wife of Robert J. LeBrun for 64 years, and the loving mother of Jeanne |
3 | Courtemanche and her husband, Joseph, Robert J. LeBrun, Jr., Donna DiCicco and her husband, |
4 | Nicholas, and Valerie Jacavone and her husband, Peter Jr. She was also the cherished |
5 | grandmother of eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Born in Taunton, Massachusetts, Mrs. LeBrun was the daughter of the late |
7 | Aurele and Juliette LaFrance, and the sister of Richard B. LaFrance, and the late Norman |
8 | LaFrance and Aurele LaFrance. After sadly losing her mother at the age of thirteen, she had |
9 | devotedly taken on the responsibility of helping to raise her younger brothers; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Mrs. LeBrun had attended the Chamberlain School of Retailing and until |
11 | her retirement, had been employed in retail at Jordan Marsh for many years; and |
12 | WHEREAS, With a kind and loving personality, Mrs. LeBrun created and nurtured a |
13 | marriage that flourished and a home that was warm and welcoming. She was well-known for her |
14 | delicious cookies and assorted baked goods, which she was always generously willing to share. |
15 | She also enjoyed playing the organ, bingo, cross stitching, and knitting; and |
16 | WHEREAS, Lorraine D. LeBrun always kept herself busy. She was benevolent and |
17 | generous, giving so much to others and asking very little for herself, and her kindheartedness will |
18 | forever be indelibly imprinted on the lives and in the cherished memories of her entire family; |
19 | now, therefore be it |
20 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |

1 | hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Lorraine D. LeBrun. She will be |
2 | forever remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and she will be dearly missed; and be it |
3 | further |
4 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
5 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Robert J. LeBrun and Family. |
