EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ELIZABETH BRUNERO | |

1 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth "Betty" Brunero passed away on December 14, 2017. She was |
2 | predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Stephen Brunero, Esq.; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Brunero was a longtime advocate for children and affordable housing. |
4 | She served the Town of West Warwick with honor, integrity and passion as a member of the |
5 | West Warwick School Committee, as a Certified Housing Commissioner, and as a member of the |
6 | Board of Directors of Manors 1 and 2. She enjoyed her careers as a kindergarten teacher and as a |
7 | manager of the St. Francis Wellness Center. Mrs. Brunero's warmth and genuine interest in |
8 | people was special and she made a positive difference in the lives of countless individuals |
9 | throughout her life; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Brunero was also predeceased by her parents Marguerite and William |
11 | Burns, and her sister, Marguerite Patrie. She is survived by her children, Margaret Caspari and |
12 | her husband, Robert, Stephen Brunero and his wife, Rhonda, the Honorable Elizabeth Dennigan, |
13 | Mark Brunero and his wife, Deborah, and Carol Hoxie and her husband, Joshua. She also leaves |
14 | behind twenty-one grandchildren, her brother, William Burns, and many beloved nieces, |
15 | nephews, cousins, and friends; now, therefore be it |
16 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
17 | Providence Plantations hereby expresses its condolences to the Brunero Family on the passing of |
18 | Elizabeth Brunero; and be it further |
19 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
20 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Margaret Caspari, Stephen Brunero, the |
