EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ANNA BRUSCO | |

1 | WHEREAS, Anna Brusco of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away on January 19, 2018. |
2 | She was born in Belmonte, Calabria, Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa Ianni. She |
3 | was the loving wife of the late Salvatore Brusco; and |
4 | WHEREAS, When Mrs. Brusco came to the United States, her first job was at California |
5 | Artificial Flowers (Calart) in Providence. Soon thereafter, she began a housekeeping career that |
6 | lasted thirty years. She was a strong, determined and hard-working woman who was welcomed |
7 | into many homes and thanks to her kindness and wonderful sense of humor, she practically |
8 | became a member of the family to many of those who employed her; and |
9 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Brusco was a devoted wife and mother who worked tirelessly tending |
10 | to her loved ones. She was well-known for her amazing Italian cooking and for her love for her |
11 | backyard garden where she regularly tended to her flowers and vegetables. She was proud of her |
12 | American citizenship and her Italian heritage, and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was |
13 | deeply loved by her family and many friends, and will be sorely missed by all who knew and |
14 | loved her; and |
15 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Brusco was the loving mother of Salvatore “Sam” Brusco and his wife, |
16 | Maria Eguia-Brusco, Roseann Brusco, and Kathy DeLellis and her husband, Robert. She was the |
17 | devoted stepmother of Marianna Prince and her husband, James, and Donald Brusco and his wife, |
18 | Terri. She was the beloved grandmother of Joseph DeLellis, Gianna DeLellis, James Brusco, and |
19 | Raymond Brusco. She was also the step-grandmother of Robert Harrison, Cheryl Myren, and |
20 | Cynthia Heroux, the step great-grandmother of Tracy Pascale, Robert Pascale Jr., Jason Pascale, |

2 | She was the sister of Antonia Brusco, and the late Bonaventura Ianni, Salvatore Ianni, and |

4 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
5 | hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Anna Brusco; and be it further |
6 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
7 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Salvatore Brusco, Roseann Brusco, Kathy |
