EXTENDING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF TRACEY LYNN KNOX | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the untimely passing |
2 | of our friend and colleague, Tracey Lynn Knox, the cherished wife for thirty-three years to the |
3 | love of her life, Patrick M. Knox, and the devoted mother of Patrick, Jr., and Alexandria who she |
4 | lovingly referred to as her "mini me"; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Tracey was the daughter of Bob and Lucile Wagner, and the sister of Beth |
6 | Schwenzfeier. As a young girl, Tracey and her family moved to East Greenwich, where she |
7 | graduated from East Greenwich High School; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Tracey and Patrick eventually settled in North Kingstown, where Tracey's |
9 | exuberant personality created a home that was warm and welcoming. She doted on her family, |
10 | and took immense joy from her time with her grandson, Wyatt, the son of Patrick, Jr., and Alyssa |
11 | Marzilli. She never failed to find time in her busy life to read, play, swim or just cuddle with |
12 | Wyatt; and |
13 | WHEREAS, A consummate hostess with an audacious sense of humor, Tracey's |
14 | cookouts by her pool, with family and friends were legendary. Her varied interests ranged from |
15 | NASCAR, especially Dale Jr., to cooking, painting, traveling to St. Croix, and attending concerts, |
16 | as well as being an avid "Steelers" fan; and |
17 | WHEREAS, In addition to making a wonderful home for her family, Tracey was the |
18 | Administrative Assistant to the Rhode Island Senate Judiciary Committee and dedicated countless |
19 | hours to volunteer work. She was an outspoken advocate on behalf of children and had annually |
20 | coordinated the Children's Fund Gingerbread Express charity event held by the Senate. In |

1 | addition, she had volunteered in the ACI Woman's Mentor Program and was passionate in her |
2 | efforts on behalf of Rescue Greyhounds and animals in need of forever homes; and |
3 | WHEREAS, There is no doubt that Tracey Knox, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, |
4 | and loyal friend, left an indelible mark on the lives of those she knew and loved, and she will be |
5 | dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
6 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
7 | hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the Knox Family on the passing of Tracey Lynn |
8 | Knox; and be it further |
9 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
10 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Patrick M. Knox and Family. |
