EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF RICHARD A. JENKS | |

1 | WHEREAS, Richard A. Jenks passed away on February 14, 2018. He was the devoted |
2 | husband of Sharon A. Jenks since August 15, 1992; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Mr. Jenks was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of the late Elmer |
4 | G. and Hortense Jenks. He was a hard-working man who worked as a lineman for Pascoag |
5 | Electric for forty-one years. He also served the public as a Firefighter and EMT for the Pascoag |
6 | Fire Department, and was a lifetime member of the Pascoag Fire Department; and |
7 | WHEREAS, Mr. Jenks was a veteran of the United States Air Force and for twenty-four |
8 | years he served our nation with honor and devotion across the globe, including Vietnam, |
9 | Thailand, Kuwait, and in Southeast and Southwest Asia; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Besides his wife, Sharon, Mr. Jenks is survived by his children, Gregory R. |
11 | Jenks, Travis R. Jenks, Wendy Jenks Chamberlin, Sandra Leplat, and Laura Baptista. He also |
12 | leaves behind ten grandchildren: Taylor Chamberlin, Darren Jenks, Riley Chamberlin, Molly |
13 | Jenks, Noah Jenks, Nathan Jenks, Michael Higginson, Bryan Higginson, Christian Higginson, |
14 | and Alexis Leplat; now, therefore be it |
15 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
16 | hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Richard A. Jenks; and be it further |
