S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ALBERT AUGUSTINE ANDOLFO

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sympathy that this Senate has learned of the passing of Albert

2

Augustine "Gus" Andolfo. Mr. Andolfo of Narragansett, passed away at his home on April 8,

3

2018, with his loving family at his side after a courageous two and a half year battle with cancer.

4

He was the beloved husband of Nancy Adolfo for more than forty years; and

5

     WHEREAS, Mr. Adolfo was born in Providence, the son of Mary Adolfo and the late

6

Thomas Adolfo. He graduated from LaSalle Academy High School in 1972, and Providence

7

College in 1976. Mr. Adolfo had a distinguished and successful twenty-year banking career in

8

which he worked for numerous banks, rising to the position of Vice President and Commercial

9

Real Estate Lender, and was responsible for his bank's participation in one of the largest real

10

estate transactions and developments in the City of Providence; and

11

     WHEREAS, Mr. Adolfo later decided to change career paths and over the next twenty

12

years, worked as a Vice President and Certified General Appraiser for Andolfo Appraisal

13

Associates, Inc. He was held in high esteem by his peers for his tireless work ethic, impeccable

14

integrity, and his business acumen; and

15

     WHEREAS, Mr. Andolfo was a golf enthusiast who especially enjoyed playing golf on

16

Sunday mornings at Jamestown Golf Course. He also enjoyed music and often attended various

17

Brian Wilson concerts in Rhode Island, California, and elsewhere through the decades; and

18

     WHEREAS, Mr. Andolfo was a deeply spiritual man. He served as the Financial

19

Secretary on the Finance Council for St. Thomas More Church for more than twenty years. He

20

was also a member of the Narragansett Lions Club and the Rhode Island Commercial Board of

Appraisers; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Andolfo leaves behind his wife, Nancy Andolfo, his children, Matthew

3

J. Andolfo and Ashley A. Andolfo, PharmD, and his mother, Mary Andolfo. He is also survived

4

by his grandchild, Elyse, his daughter-in-law, Nicolette Andolfo, PharmD, his brother, Thomas S.

5

Andolfo, MAI, and his wife, Lucille, his nephew, Adam, and his wife Michelle, and their child,

6

Cole, and his sister-in-law, Patricia Hanley; and

7

     WHEREAS, Mr. Andolfo was a devoted husband and father, and a cherished friend to

8

many. The pain of his passing is immense but the memory of his kindness and loving nature will

9

live on forever in the hearts and memories of his family and all who knew him; now, therefore, be

10

it

11

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

12

hereby express our deepest condolences on the passing of Albert Augustine Andolfo; and be it

13

further

14

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

15

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Nancy Andolfo and Family.
