THANKING THE HONORABLE KENNETH J. MENDONCA FOR HIS DISTINGUISHED

SERVICE TO THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND

     WHEREAS, The Honorable Kenneth J. Mendonca was elected to the Rhode Island

General Assembly in 2016, representing House District 72, comprised of constituents from

Middletown and Portsmouth. Representative Mendonca served on the Finance and Veterans'

Affairs Committees. He was known as a vigorous defender of the taxpayer and one who

promoted the efficient use of public funds. He was a thoughtful public servant who will be missed

by his colleagues; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Mendonca is a graduate of Rogers High School and Salve

Regina University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree, and two Master's Degrees. He is a

Program Manager and Systems Engineer and is the beloved husband of Nancy and the devoted

father of Kaleigh; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby thanks the Honorable Kenneth J. Mendonca for his exemplary

service to the State of Rhode Island and wishes him continued success in all his future endeavors;

and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable Kenneth J. Mendonca.
