H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

THANKING THE HONORABLE ANTHONY GIARRUSSO FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF

DISTINGUISHED PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF RHODE ISLAND

     WHEREAS, The Honorable Anthony Giarrusso was elected in 2012 to serve as a

member of the Rhode Island General Assembly, representing East Greenwich and a portion of

West Greenwich. For the last six years he has served his constituents with tireless devotion and

integrity. He has served as a member of the Finance and Corporations Committees and as the

Senior Deputy Minority Leader. Representative Giarrusso was a highly respected member of the

Rhode Island General Assembly who was known for his quick wit and friendly demeanor during

floor debates; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Giarrusso is a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and

Bryant College. He is the beloved husband of Janet Giarrusso and the devoted father of Antonio,

Jr., Andrea, Leonardo and James. In 1986, along with his brothers, he founded AG&G, Inc., a

very successful business that designs and manufactures high quality fashion jewelry. Today,

AG&G is a thriving business that employs over 100 people in a state-of-the-art 30,000 square

foot facility. We wish the Honorable Anthony Giarrusso continued success in all of his future

endeavors; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby thanks the Honorable Anthony Giarrusso for his many years of

dedicated and devoted service to the people of East Greenwich, West Greenwich and the State of

Rhode Island; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable Anthony Giarrusso.
