H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXTENDING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING SUSAN JOYCE LENNON

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Susan

Joyce Lennon, beloved wife of Joseph L. Lennon (Ret. PPD), and the devoted mother of Joseph

C. Lennon and Brianna Lennon; and

     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, Mrs. Lennon was a daughter of the late Carmino and

Margaret DelSesto, the cherished sister of former State Representative Joanne Giannini and her

husband, Stephen, and the late Eugenia Pattek, and a loving aunt of Melissa Gamble-Campopiano

and her wife, Dr. Elizabeth Gamble-Campopiano, and Amy McLaughlin. She was also the great-

aunt of Gabrielle, Garrett, and Logan; and

     WHEREAS, For thirty-seven years, Mrs. Lennon had worked for the City of Providence,

retiring as the Payroll Supervisor at City Hall. During her years with the City, she had formed

many, many enduring friendships with her coworkers; and

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Lennon doted on her family, especially her weekly family gatherings.

She was also an avid sports fan, and loved to go to the beach and work out at the gym; and

     WHEREAS, Susan Lennon will forever be remembered for her "fun-loving spirit,

incredibly kind heart and her unmatched compassion for others." She will be dearly missed by all

who knew and loved her; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Susan Joyce

Lennon; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Joseph L. Lennon and Family.
