It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 31-3 of the General Laws entitled "Registration of Vehicles" is |
2 | hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 31-3-28.1. Auction of registration plate for charity. |
4 | The administration of the division of motor vehicles is authorized to make, alter, or |
5 | amend such rules and regulations as are necessary for permitting the auction of registration plates |
6 | by the current holder for the purpose of donating the proceeds to charity. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
