H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MANFRED S. VASILIAUSKAS

     WHEREAS, Manfred S. Vasiliauskas passed away on June 3, 2019, in the embrace of his

devoted family. He was the loving husband of Judith V. Vasiliauskas for fifty-three years; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Vasiliauskas was born in Lithuania, the son of the late Peter and

Antonia Vasiliauskas. He served our nation with honor and devotion as a member of the United

States Army during the Vietnam War; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Vasiliauskas was a hard-working man and a devoted son, husband,

father and grandfather. He leaves behind, in addition to his wife, his son David C. Vasiliauskas

and his wife, Nancy, his three granddaughters, Emma, Avery and Addison Valisiauskas, and three

sisters, Irena Blume, Erika Fisher and Anita Dragnette; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Vasiliauskas's passing is an immense loss to his family and many

friends, but the memory of his love and friendship will long endure in the hearts and memories of

all who knew him; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island Plantations

hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Manfred S. Vasiliauskas; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Judith V. Vasiliauskas.
