S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF SANDRA A. BEHAR

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Sandra

A. Behar, loving wife of Dr. Jose Behar, the adored mother of three sons, William, David, and

our friend and colleague the Honorable James Sheehan, and the step-mother of Tamara and

Daniel Behar; and

     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, Mrs. Behar was the daughter of Anita Costello and the

late Walter Milazzo, and the step-daughter of Michael Costello. She graduated Magna Cum

Laude from the Rhode Island College School of Nursing and was a dedicated Registered Nurse at

Kent County Memorial Hospital for more than thirty-five years; and

     WHEREAS, Sandra Behar’s loving personality created a home that was warm and

welcoming. She doted on her family, particularly her eight beautiful grandchildren. Her patient

and caring nature made her the kind of mother and grandmother that every child needs and

deserves; and

     WHEREAS, An amazing human being and an exemplary wife, mother, daughter,

grandmother, aunt, and friend, Sandra Behar was the heart and soul of her family. Her

kindheartedness and sincerity will forever be indelibly imprinted on the lives and in the cherished

memories of her entire family. She enriched the lives of all who had the good fortune to have

known her and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its deepest sympathy on the passing of Sandra Behar. She will be forever

remembered; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable James Sheehan, and Dr. Jose

Behar and Family.
