It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 40-8.13-6 of the General Laws in Chapter 40-8.13 entitled "Long- |
2 | Term Managed Care Arrangements" is hereby amended to read as follows: |
3 | 40-8.13-6. Payment incentives. |
4 | In order to encourage quality improvement and promote appropriate utilization incentives |
5 | for providers in a managed long-term care arrangement, a managed care organization may use |
6 | incentive or bonus payment programs that are in addition to the rates identified in ยง 40-18.13-5. |
7 | In addition, managed care organizations shall work in consultation with the executive office of |
8 | health and human services (EOHHS) to develop incentives for nursing facilities that demonstrate |
9 | lower direct care staff turnover. |
10 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
