EXTENDING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ALBERT JOSEPH | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Albert |
2 | Joseph Lepore, Jr., Esq., the beloved father of Sabra Lepore and her fiancé, Ralph Orlandi, and |
3 | Danae Lepore, and the proud grandfather of his beautiful granddaughter Giuliana Orlandi; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Mr. Lepore was the son of Celia Lepore and the late Albert Lepore, Sr., |
5 | Esq., and the brother and law partner of Sheri Lepore, Esq., and her husband, Joseph Iaciofano. |
6 | He was a graduate of Moses Brown School, and had earned his Bachelor's degree from Suffolk |
7 | University and his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School. He was admitted to the Rhode Island |
8 | Bar in 1990, and was also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of R.I., U.S. Circuit |
9 | Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Mr. Lepore was a partner and had served as the former President of Coia & |
11 | Lepore Ltd., which was started by his father and uncle, Arthur A. Coia. He was mentored by his |
12 | former partner, Armand E. Sabitoni, and had practiced in the area of Workers' Compensation and |
13 | Social Security disability law for more than 25 years. During his years at the firm, Mr. Lepore |
14 | had formed treasured friendships with the attorneys and staff, and particularly with his partners, |
15 | including his cousin, James J. Lepore and his dear friend, George L. Santopietro; and |
16 | WHEREAS, Mr. Lepore was a member of numerous professional associations including |
17 | the Rhode Island Bar Association, Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association, and a panoply of |
18 | organizations in the area of Workers' Compensation law; and |
19 | WHEREAS, An avid Patriots fan and Tom Brady enthusiast, Mr. Lepore was a season |

1 | ticket holder before moving to Miami, where he enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful palm |
2 | trees with his faithful companion Duke, a Miniature Italian Greyhound; and |
3 | WHEREAS, In addition to his mother, children, and siblings, Mr. Lepore is survived by |
4 | his nephew and godson, Drew Blanchard, Ali Blanchard, and Joey Iaciofano; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Albert Lepore was "a positive, funny, energetic person who was larger than |
6 | life" and who had expressed to his family and friends that he wanted those he loved to "celebrate |
7 | his life rather than his death"; now, therefore be it |
8 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode and Providence Plantations hereby |
9 | extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Albert Joseph Lepore, Jr., Esq.; and be it further |
10 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
11 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Mrs. Celia Lepore, Sabra Lepore, and Danae |
12 | Lepore. |
