EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF DEBRA J. KERN | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with utmost sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Debra |
2 | J. Kern, beloved "wife and soulmate" of Robert J. Kern, and the devoted mother of Gregory Kern |
3 | and Jillian Kern; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Kern was born in Central Falls, into the large and loving family of |
5 | Edmund and the late Anita Paquette. She was the cherished sister of Linda Hebert and her |
6 | husband, Nick, Cheryl Garland and her husband, Rick, Donna Dearden, Bruce Paquette and his |
7 | wife, Barbara, and her sister-in-law Silvia Jette, as well as many nieces and nephews; and |
8 | WHEREAS, A life-long resident of the Town of Cumberland, Mrs. Kern was a graduate |
9 | of Cumberland High School. She had been employed by Dr. Vinciguerra's Pediatric Dental office |
10 | for many years and subsequently became co-owner and vice president for the family business |
11 | Jahns Metal Craft; and |
12 | WHEREAS, In addition to making a warm and welcoming home for her family and |
13 | many friends, as well as cooking and spending time with her loved ones, Mrs. Kern enjoyed |
14 | camping, skiing, snowmobiling, and boating; and |
15 | WHEREAS, Debra Kern was a beautiful caring soul who possessed a vibrant personality |
16 | that made her a joy to be around. Her incredible love filled the lives and hearts of her family and |
17 | many friends and the most fitting tribute is a celebration of her life; now, therefore be it |
18 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
19 | hereby expresses our heartfelt condolences to the entire Kern Family on the passing of Debra |
20 | Kern. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered; and be it further |

2 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Robert J. Kern and Family. |
