RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES - REGISTRATION FEES | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 31-6 of the General Laws entitled "Registration Fees" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 31-6-8.1. Veterans. |
4 | Any veteran who has been honorably discharged from the service of the armed forces or |
5 | the merchant marine of the United States in any of the wars or campaigns in which the United |
6 | States has been engaged shall be exempt from the payment of any fee for the annual registration |
7 | of an automobile or a commercial vehicle owned by the veteran. |
8 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
