It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 36-4 of the General Laws entitled "Merit System" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 36-4-66. Electronic log-in required. |
4 | All state employees in the non-supervisory classified services shall be required to |
5 | complete a daily electronic log-in and log-out time indicating the number of work hours for each |
6 | day worked. The method for electronically recording such hours shall be recorded using existing |
7 | computer resources and shall be administered by the department of administration. The director is |
8 | hereby directed to establish whatever rules and regulations shall be required to carry out the |
9 | purposes of this section. |
10 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
